Global Sustainability Newsletter

DECEMBER 2025

Dear Partners and Colleagues,

As global challenges – from climate change to shifting market dynamics – continue to shape our industry, Bunge remains focused on delivering solutions for our farmers, partners, customers and communities, while progressing toward our sustainability commitments.

In our latest Sustainability Newsletter, we reflect on a 2025 marked by meaningful achievements and milestones. Most notably, we welcomed our Viterra colleagues, and, as one Bunge team, we’re excited to use our combined expertise to bring new solutions to the market faster, enabling greater strides in sustainability and efficiency across the agriculture sector.

Our global teams have made progress on several fronts: expanding regenerative agriculture programs into new countries, broadening partnerships to advance deforestation-free, traceable soy and connecting farmers to the growing renewable fuels market.

We also joined leading organizations at Climate Week NYC, COP30 and other global forums, and collaborated with valued partners, including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the MSPO Alliance and the World Economic Forum.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are energized by this collective momentum and new opportunities to engage with our stakeholders. We recognize that our actions as a connector and leader in agribusiness are more important than ever, and we remain committed to shaping a resilient future for the industry and communities we serve.

Thank you for your partnership.

Sustainability Spotlights

Aligning our Sustainability Efforts as We Integrate with Viterra

Following our combination with Viterra in July, we started the real work of integration. We recently completed our first quarter as one company, and you may have heard CEO Greg Heckman talk about how seamlessly our teams are collaborating – sustainability is no exception. Our enhanced operating model is already creating real benefits, and we are maintaining the best practices of both companies to drive forward our shared goals. We have improved visibility across the value chain, from origin to destination, strengthening our monitoring and traceability efforts and enabling us to run with greater transparency and efficiency.

We’re already aligning our sustainability governance frameworks, reviewing policies and processes, and integrating our Sustainability Policies and governance to ensure a unified and robust approach. This includes combining our decarbonization roadmap and other environmental data to create a comprehensive overview of our environmental footprint and accelerate our progress towards climate goals. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that we completed our combined double materiality assessment and are actively working towards CSRD readiness, reinforcing our commitment to transparent and comprehensive reporting.

Importantly, Bunge’s commitment to achieving deforestation-free value chains in 2025 remains strong. Over the past decade, we’ve built a comprehensive traceability and monitoring system using satellite technology to oversee more than 46,000 farms across 36 million hectares. We’re proud to be the first global commodity exporter to achieve 100% traceability and monitoring for our soybean purchases in the Brazilian Cerrado – a milestone that builds on over a decade of full monitoring in the Amazon. And we’re continuing to work with our industry partners to advance the soy sector, including expanding our certification and regenerative agriculture programs to foster sustainable land use practices and support farmers.

We are in the early days of our combined company, and we know there's significant work ahead of us. But with our enhanced capabilities and shared sustainability goals, we're confident in what we’re going to achieve together.

Connecting Farmers and Renewable Fuels with Certified Winter Canola

Our certified winter canola program, in partnership with Corteva and Chevron, continues to help U.S. farmers tap into the growing renewable fuels market by integrating high-performing winter canola into their crop rotations.

Now in its third year, the program has proven to be a resilient and scalable system for U.S. farmers. The most recent 2024 crop year averaged 53 bushels per acre, which is at the high end of the expected range. These consistently high yields have inspired more farmers to participate, and our winter canola acreage is expected to increase significantly in the upcoming crop year. As we work daily to connect farmers with end consumers, our value-added partnerships bring crop innovation to farmers and renewable feedstocks to growing energy markets.

Expanding Regenerative Agriculture Globally

Bunge continues to advance regenerative agriculture practices around the world. In our report, we highlighted the expansion of our efforts into Canada and Poland, and the growth of existing programs in the U.S., Brazil and Hungary. We’re proud to share that we’ve rolled out additional regenerative agriculture programs in Argentina and Romania.

In Poland, we’re also partnering with EIT Food to launch Lower Silesia 360°, a regenerative agriculture initiative covering 20,000+ hectares of rapeseed, wheat, barley and sugar beet. This initiative, running through 2028, brings together farmers, businesses and institutions to improve soil health, biodiversity and carbon sequestration while supporting supply chain resilience. A harmonized monitoring platform will measure environmental and socio-economic outcomes, creating a replicable blueprint for regenerative agriculture across Europe. By aligning as a committed off-taker and providing farmers with training, incentives and capacity-building support, Bunge is helping make regenerative farming both profitable and viable.

Reducing Plastic Use with Product Innovation in Hungary and Poland

Bunge has invested in advanced manufacturing and packaging redesigns at our factories in Martfű (Hungary) and Brzeg and Kruszwica (Poland), reducing plastic use across both countries. The combined upgrades have led to an average 15% reduction in plastic used per 1-liter oil bottles across domestic and export products. These changes, including lighter caps and streamlined bottle shapes, are projected to save an estimated 600 metric tons of plastic annually. The modernization also features new blow molding technology, increasing energy efficiency and reducing electricity consumption by up to 35%. Check out the stories on our website (in Hungarian and Polish).

Volunteering Hand in Hand for World Food Day 2025

This October, we expanded our Global Volunteer Program in celebration of World Food Day. Employees in 154 cities across 26 countries participated in our fourth annual initiative, dedicating time to more than 121 local organizations focused on food security. By empowering each site to identify volunteer opportunities in education and hunger relief, we enhanced our reach and impact in the communities we serve.

New and Noteworthy Partnership Updates

Enhancing Our Partnership wiht CPF Group for Deforestation-Free, Traceable Soy

Bunge signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with Bangkok Produce Merchandising Public Company Limited (BKP), a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Group (CPF Group), to expand our partnership for blockchain-traced, deforestation-free soy and soymeal. Following a successful pilot that traced approximately 375,000 metric tons of soymeal from Brazil, we will expand the use of blockchain technology to deliver verified, sustainable soy for food and animal feed across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

This partnership will improve transparency and traceability in the grain value chain and promote collaboration on regenerative agriculture and low-carbon initiatives to reduce supply chain emissions. Julio Garros, Bunge’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, noted in a FoodBev Media article that the blockchain platform creates a direct and verifiable connection between food production and customers, ensuring every link in the value chain contributes to a more transparent and trustworthy future.

Elevating Sustainable Palm Oil Standards with MSPO Alliance

Bunge became a founding member of the MSPO Impact Alliance in September, joining 27 other organizations to advance the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) standard. The Alliance fosters collaboration among industry peers, regulators, NGOs and other stakeholders to drive sustainability and innovation, and unlock new opportunities for the palm oil industry. It brings together the entire value chain to advance traceability, digitalization and sustainable finance, ensuring Malaysia’s palm oil sector remains compliant, competitive and able to supply responsible, deforestation-free palm oil worldwide.

Supporting Ecological Restoration in Brazil with BNDES, Bunge Foundation

Bunge, through our foundation, and Agrícola Alvorada have partnered with the Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) to launch the "Floresta Viva – Indigenous Lands” Call for Proposals. Through this initiative, the Bunge Foundation and its partners will select ecological restoration projects for approximately 500 hectares within Indigenous Lands located across three Brazilian states: Mato Grosso, Tocantins and Maranhão. Two Brazilian biomes, the Amazon and Cerrado, will be covered by this initiative.

By 2029, the three institutions will contribute 10 million BRL ($1.8 million USD) to finance these projects. The initiative also aims to stimulate indigenous family farming through productive recovery, utilizing agroforestry systems. Through the Semêa project, part of our regenerative agriculture program, Bunge will include not only large producers but also small farmers and indigenous peoples in responsible agricultural practices. This is an example of how Bunge is integrating sustainability and social responsibility into our business strategy, creating value for the company and for partners in our value chain.

Empowering Smallholders in Indonesia with Musim Mas

Bunge partnered with Musim Mas in Sambas, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, to help more than 1,000 independent smallholders adopt sustainable palm oil practices and improve market access. Through a train-the-trainer program, 139 Village Extension Officers have been equipped to share knowledge on sustainable agricultural practices, NDPE, ISPO and RSPO compliance and financial literacy. Building on this foundation, the next phase will support regenerative farming and establish a community-led composting plant to boost soil fertility. With smallholders producing over 40% of Indonesia’s palm oil, this collaboration highlights our commitment to empowering farmers and advancing sustainability. Rob Nicholls, Program & Project General Manager at Musim Mas, and Kaixiang Chin, Sustainability Manager at Bunge, discussed the collaboration and its impact on an Innovation Forum podcast in October.
